The Hardware Wallet

For those with significant assets in crypto, a simple hardware wallet may not be enough. Advanced custody involves multiple layers of security, redundancy and planning for extreme scenarios.

and Multi-Signature

Multisig wallets require multiple keys to authorize a transaction (e.g., 2 out of 3, 3 out of 5). Even if a key is compromised, the attacker cannot move the funds.

Institutional custody

Companies such as Fireblocks, BitGo and Anchorage offer custody with insurance, compliance and bank-level infrastructure. Ideal for companies, funds and investors with large positions.

Inheritance and succession planning

If something happens to you, your heirs know how to access your cryptocurrencies? Crypto inheritance planning involves documenting access instructions (without exposing seeds), using digital inheritance services and setting up dead man's switches.

Ideal for large assets

Use at least 3 layers: (1) hot wallet for daily operations with limited value, (2) hardware wallet for medium reservations, (3) multisig cold storage for most of the asset. Distribute backups geographically and never focus everything on one point.
